Definition

Disaster safety products developed with related technologies and highly affect people’s lives whose adequacy has been certified and approved with the presidential decree.
Validity is three years from the date of certification but it can be extended subject to re-deliberation.

Products subject to disaster safety certification

Products that can be used in preventing/preparing against/responding to and recovering disasters
Products that can protect human life/body or property from disasters or various types of incidents
Products that can mitigate damage from disaster or enhance safety management level by having them used by the public

Basis for certifying disaster safety products

Function as disaster safety product should be precisely performed to suit purpose of product design and use
Efficiency, usability and convenience of maintaining disaster safety products should meet the level defined by Minister of Public Administration and Security

Basis of sole sourcing of disaster safety products

Disaster safety products certified for their adequacy as per Item 1, Clause 4, Article 73 of Basic Act on Disaster and Safety Management

Disaster safety products certified for their adequacy as per Item 1, Clause 4, Article 73 of Basic Act on Disaster and Safety Management
